Stand-up invited itself where it was least expected! For an afternoon dedicated to humor, the Cap3000 shopping center and Galeries Lafayette welcomed a brand-new stage right in the heart of shopping: the Smiley Comedy Club.
This audacious event was co-produced by Zento and Bobar Comedy Club, two major players in the stand-up scene in Nice. Together, they took up the challenge of making a passing public laugh… and the gamble paid off!
A unique atmosphere of escalators and laughter
To see a stand-up stage set up in the middle of a shopping mall is a rare occurrence. And yet, the concept immediately won over visitors. In an unexpected setting, shoppers were treated to a generous program featuring talented, committed artists.
In particular, the public was treated to a performance by Urbain, who flew in specially from Paris for the occasion, and Audrey Baldassare, a fixture on the stand-up scene in Nice.
Generous local programming
The Smiley Comedy Club brought together a fine line-up of comedians in a variety of styles, from the Côte d’Azur scene or just passing through the region:
Sophia Beldeli
Eddy Kokola
Karimo
Thomas Santarelli
Pablo Caillault
Sébastien Espanol (@seb_dropthelol)
Audrey Baldassare
PV (Pierre-Victor Pereira)
And of course Urbain for an express Paris-Nice round trip!
Each artist captured the audience’s attention with lyrics that were apt, funny, often hard-hitting, and always heartfelt.

A successful artistic collaboration
This special operation is part of Zento‘s drive to bring stand-up to audiences where it’s least expected. By co-producing this project with the Bobar Comedy Club, Zento confirms its expertise in producing atypical artistic events, capable of bringing artists and audiences together in original settings.
A huge thank you to Galeries Lafayette Cap3000 for having dared this format and for their confidence in Nice’s artistic energy.
